Throughout my career I have worked at some of the most prestigious spas in the North East of England including Rockliffe Hall and The Garage Spa. As well as working in these amazing venues I have been lucky enough to work in some remarkable spas and retreats around the world, from Ananada in the Himalayas, to the truly relaxing Tipi Valley in Portugal. I have also been fortunate to work in France, Greece and Morocco

During my career I have constantly worked to improve my skills by training in a range of new treatments, whether it be product in-house training, such as the likes of Elemis or Comfort Zone; or traveling to Thailand to learn traditional Thai massage and living in an ashram in India while completing my yoga teacher training. This has enabled me to offer a wider range of experiences to my clients.

There is nothing I enjoy more than performing treatments. I like blending together the different styles of massages I have learned over the years, enabling me to tailor the best treatment possible for my clients.

Hot stone massage is far more than a massage with hot stones. It is a multidimensional treatment that reaches the very soul. The stones are from the earth and have an extremely grounding quality. Grounding can be very helpful to individuals struggling with issues related to sleep, headaches, dizziness, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a massage performed on the feet, but it is much more than just a foot rub. Pressure points on the feet which are linked by energy lines to different parts of the body and it’s organs, these points are manipulated with the thumbs and fingers. 

The treatment will leave your feet feeling amazing and give your whole body a MOT.

Thai foot massage

A treatment that I learned in Thailand and have put my own spin on. You get massaged from the soles of your feet, up over the top of the foot and over the shins and calves all the way up to the knee. This massage involves a mixture of soothing stroking movements and pressure point work where a massage stick is used. This treatment will leave you feeling as though you are walking on air.

Thai Body Massage

Again, another treatment that I learned out in Thailand. Thai massage is performed on a floor mat, while the client wears lose fitting clothes. You will be twisted, turned and stretched. Thai massage is sometimes known as lazy man’s yoga.

Indian Head

Indian head massage is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been practised in India for thousands of years, providing a deep sense of relaxation. This treatment helps to release stress and is the ideal way to give you ultimate feeling of serenity and peace.

Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical exercises to master the body along with mind as well as exercises to withdraw it from external objects.

I have been practising Yoga since 2008 and trained as a certified teacher in March 2012 at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in India. Through my constant learnings I have developed and improved my practice over time to offer a unique interpretation of the core elements of Hatha Yoga.

My experience has enabled me to go on to work as a teacher in spas throughout the UK as well as retreats in Portugal and Morrocco. During my time teaching I have taught both large group classes and more intimate sessions with smaller numbers. It is my belief that within smaller groups the learning curve is steeper and more rewarding and allows me tailor my teachings to my pupils specific needs more accurately.

My lessons and way of teaching are influenced not only by these learnings but also from the understanding that by practicing in smaller groups the experience is richer and the guidance is more focussed.
